Bhoomi poojan
Bhoomi Poojan is performed on the site before construction begins, to seek leave of Bhoomi Devi and of Vastu Purush. The pandit performs the puja at the north-east corner, the naag pratishtha where the family keeps it, and the shilanyas at which the first stone is laid, all at the muhurat.
The muhurat matters here as much as the puja, because a site is broken only once. Give us the plot and the dates that suit, and we read the panchang and give you the times, taking the direction of the plot and the Vastu into account.
On the day the puja is offered at the ishaan corner, the kalash is established, and the family digs the first earth and lays the first stone. Where the family keeps the naag pratishtha with the silver naag, we bring it. Builders and companies in Hyderabad book this for their sites too, and we work to the site schedule.
No prices are listed here. Each karyam is quoted on the phone, once we know the date, the place and the custom your family follows.
Questions about this karyam
Is a Hindi-speaking pandit available?
Yes. This is set out in the North Indian vidhi, and the pandit explains it in Hindi.
When should it be done?
Before any digging, at a muhurat fixed from the panchang. Give us the plot details and the dates that suit you.
Do you bring the samagri?
Yes, all of it, including the kalash and the silver naag where your family keeps the naag pratishtha. The site need only be cleared.
Do the owners have to be present?
Yes, at least one of the owners, because the sankalp is made in their name with their gotra and nakshatra. Where a family is buying jointly, all of them should attend if they can. For a company site, whoever the land stands in the name of, or a director on their behalf, sits for the puja.
