Lakshmi puja (Diwali)
Lakshmi Puja is performed on the Amavasya night of Diwali, in the North Indian vidhi by a Hindi-speaking pandit. Lakshmi and Ganesh are established, the puja is offered at the muhurat, and for businesses the chopda pujan of the new account books follows.
For North Indian families and for the trading houses of Hyderabad this is the night of the year, and the muhurat is narrow. We fix the pradosh kaal or the sthir lagna muhurat for your house or shop, and the pandit reaches you in time for it — which on Diwali means we plan the evening’s route days in advance.
For a shop or an office the chopda pujan is kept with it: the new bahi khatas are worshipped and the first entry is made at the muhurat. We bring the murtis where you have none, along with the whole samagri. Where a shop keeps its own long-standing muhurat from the family elders, we work to that and do not argue with it.

Questions about this karyam
Is a Hindi-speaking pandit available?
Yes. The vidhi and the explanation are in Hindi. Tell us when you book.
How early must we book for Diwali?
A month, and more for a shop that wants a particular muhurat. That one evening is the busiest of our year.
Do you do the chopda pujan for a business?
Yes, with the new bahi khatas worshipped and the first entry made at the muhurat.
Can the puja be done at both the house and the shop?
Yes, and many families keep both. The muhurat is narrow, so the two cannot be at the same hour; we usually do the shop in the pradosh kaal and the house after, or send two pandits. Tell us when you book so the evening is planned properly rather than one of the two being rushed.
